Mayor
Kenneth (Kenny) Lehman was raised in the small town of Mabscott, outside of Beckley, WV.
He worked in the coal mines for 8.5 years before being laid off. He was later given the opportunity to attend electronics school and, upon finishing, went to work as a telescope operator at the Green Bank Observatory for more than 14 years. He then became a cryogenics technician at Green Bank, responsible for the repair and replacement of cryogenic refrigerators on the telescopes.
He was previously mayor of the Town of Durbin from 2015 – 2019 and was appointed in 2025 after the resignation of the then current mayor.

Town Council Member
Carolyn Bosley grew up in Parkton, Maryland, but developed a strong connection to Pocahontas County through frequent childhood visits. Her affection for the area and its people eventually led her to marry Shawn and settle down in Durbin. Despite relocating several times, Durbin always felt like home, and in 2019, the couple decided to return there for good when West Virginia’s country roads beckoned them back.
Carolyn has served on the town council for over two years and actively volunteers with various committees. She is committed to supporting the residents of Durbin and looks forward to seeing the town continue to grow and prosper.

Dave Jones was born in northeast Ohio and grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio and the north end of Pocahontas County.
He is 63 years old, retired and owns property in Durbin. He has 2 kids and a granddaughter and to quote Dave, “I love Pocahontas County”.

Paula Bennett is a lifetime resident of Pocahontas County, living in Durbin for 38 years. She is a dedicated public servant and community leader with a lifelong commitment to helping others and serving the residents of Durbin, West Virginia. Currently serving on the Durbin Town Council, she brings decades of leadership experience, healthcare knowledge, and community involvement to her role.
A graduate of Marshall University and West Virginia University with a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Conservation, Paula has built a diverse and meaningful career centered around service and advocacy. She also became a foster parent through Shepherd University, reflecting her deep passion for supporting families and children in need.
From 1997 to 2001, she proudly served two terms as Mayor of Durbin, where she worked to strengthen the community and support local growth and development. Her professional background includes extensive experience in healthcare as a phlebotomist, EMT, and hospital employee in both the Emergency Room and Surgery Departments.
In addition, Paula dedicated 14 years to Seneca Mental Health, including eight years as Assistant Manager, where she helped support individuals and families facing mental health challenges. She also worked with Security America in a variety of positions, further expanding her leadership and service experience.
Outside of her professional and civic responsibilities, Paula enjoys fishing, cooking, hunting, and helping others in any way she can. She currently leads The Bold and Beautiful Society, an organization focused on encouraging and empowering women in different areas of life. Known for her compassionate spirit and practical wisdom, she is also an avid shopper who enjoys finding great bargains and sharing tips with others.
Through every role she has held, Paula has remained committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those around her and in the community she proudly calls home.
